Shantae is a game that Alex and Matt backed on kickstarter. When they finally got to experience they game they were shocked by beautiful art, animations, and terrible choices with back-tracking level design! Check out their experience here!
We explore the hub town of Shantae, talk to big fat Aladdin, and get to hang out with our stocky ass uncle. Voice acting and dubbing galore, because there is a lot of dialogue in the game. We try to get our uncle to dance with us but...nope
Techno grunts? Pft we can take them down no problem.Oh and hello big boss mermaid girl. I don't quite understand what this game is trying to convey, but holy crap does that big mermaid have giga-boobies.
We have the new ability to... have crabs. Yeah, sure, we can become a crab now! What does that do for us? Helps us gain the inability to fight enemies. Nah but seriously we can now dive into the water with crabs.
No crabs in the house! We get lost and try to roam the map for the new area. We talk to Hawkiplier a bit, and just get sent right back to where we anted to go in the first place. How can you go where you need to go if you haven't been where you've been.
A single heart, and a lot of death in hand. We are working our way up to the top of the tower, while being chased by a big ass sand worm. After eventually making it to the top, we just suffer even worse enemies.
What, the other genie girl? She brought Wilbur out! What are we going to do now, but replicate the same way we would defeat a boss in Sonic Rush Adventure. Wilbur can't stop us, we're an all powerful genie!!
Aquatic mines, that's one of the best levels ever! This game gives us one of the best levels ever. So good that we can't figure out where to go. Every level acts like a damn maze. It is game with fantastic art, but CHRIST...
We take our big fat elephant ass to town in this level! Going from an elephant to a crab, we try to give Squidward back his little babies. But how are we supposed to find the little babies in the water? This game is fantastic but the backtracking... oof
Flying carpets, amazing moments, high flying adventure! A BIG RACE! THIS MUST BE THE END OF THE GAME! Oh, nope.. no it's not. With an abrupt end, is this series something we plan on returning to?! We leave this series the same way my dad left me, saying we're going to get a drink and never returning.
